Which map app should I use in Korea?

Naver Map and KakaoMap are the two map apps most used in Korea, and both have English versions. Google Maps works for subway and bus routes, but walking and driving directions are limited in Korea. We give links to all three so you can pick the one you like, and it helps to install one of the Korean apps before you go.

About these places

Seoul has more to see than the big palaces. This list groups well-known places by what visitors look for: history, museums, shopping, K-beauty and trend districts, city views, hiking and day trips. Each card shows the nearest subway station so you can plan a day around one area.

K-Pop Demon Hunters places

Fans link N Seoul Tower, Bukchon Hanok Village and Naksan Park to the film's setting. The film is animated, so you will see the real places, not sets. This list is fan-reported and not official.

Hiking in Seoul without gear

The Seoul Urban Hiking Tourism Centers near Bukhansan and Gwanaksan rent boots, clothes and poles to foreign visitors for a small fee, so you can hike in the city with only your day clothes.
